The first live interactive experience from the virtual reality (VR) multi-user framework of UK-based software company Dev Clever has been approved for deployment on multiple platforms, including Google Play, the Oculus Store and the Apple Appstore.
Easter Squad VR, a collaborative experience where players work together to defeat the Easter bunny’s dastardly brother, Bozo, and save Easter, is also available on Samsung Gear VR and Google Daydream.
London Stock Exchange-listed Dev Clever’s core framework equips developers with the tools they need to rapidly develop multiplayer VR experiences and games, through any approved platform and device.
The games and experiences target groups of users looking to access the same content. Dev Clever’s framework, which has taken two years to develop, focuses on competitive games, seasonally themed VR experiences, and immersive eLearning and training modules.
Chris Jeffries, chief executive officer of Dev Clever, said: “This is the final framework to be released from Dev Clever. The core virtual reality framework allows the company to leverage greater opportunities through all three of our channels, by providing multi-user eLearning and training modules to our Educate customers and selling immersive multiplayer gaming experiences through our Engage hospitality, leisure, brand and retail customers.”
“At the same time, the platform is able to deliver the launches of Vanguard: Flight or Rudiarius to the play-at-home VR market in the coming weeks. This exciting step forward positions Dev Clever at the heart of immersive education, consumer engagement and competitive gaming.”
Dev Clever shares began trading on the London Stock Exchange earlier this year. It valued the company at £3.73 million.
