Google and Marvel Studios release Avengers Endgame AR stickers

Google and Marvel Studios have teamed up to bring characters from Avengers: Endgame to the Pixel through augmented reality (AR).

Pixel owners can download AR stickers of Avengers characters such as Thor, Rocket and Captain Marvel and interact with them through videos and photos.

The AR pack also boasts War Machine and Black Widow, and adds to the Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Nebula and Okoye stickers already available in Playground, the mode in the Pixel 3 camera released last year.

Pixel devices make use of ARCore’s motion tracking, light estimation and ability to understand the real world. According to Google, these make the AR stickers look and feel lifelike, and react to facial expressions in real time.

The partnership with Marvel Studios is a coup for Google, with Avengers: Endgame expected to become one of the highest grossing movies of all time when it releases next week.

Google has also put together a “reimagined” look at the Marvel Cinematic Universe to see what would happen if it included the Pixel 3. Watch that video below:
