Luxion has released a new virtual reality (VR) product for its visualisation software, KeyShot.

KeyVR allows designers to take a KeyShot scene and generate an interactive VR experience with the click of a button.

Henrik Wann Jensen, chief scientist at Luxion, offered a preview of KeyVR at Develop3DLive last month. He called it “a custom real-time engine that will be able to transform any KeyShot model into VR-ready content”.

The one-click VR solution requires minimal preparation, is fast and easy to use, and keeps the design workflow free of barriers, according to Luxion.

It lets designers explore their work “in a ‘real world’ context’”, review designs, view variations and use natural views to determine the best product shots.

“And we wanted it all to fit right inside your current visualisation workflow. KeyVR perfectly complements KeyShot as a visualisation solution to assist you in exploring your design intent while maintaining the visual quality in a product anyone can use.”

Luxion added: “We’re already hearing great things from users of KeyVR—how they’re able to create VR experiences quickly, assess designs faster, and show their customers the future. We can’t wait to see how you use KeyVR and how it helps your product development process.”

The KeyShot maker is running a webinar next month to teach designers how to make the most of KeyVR. Follow this link to find out more and register.
