VR-1 and XR-1 maker Varjo is stepping up sales of its human-eye resolution virtual reality (VR) headset with an official reseller network spanning several countries.
The VR-1 is now available in the UK, US, Japan, Finland, Germany, France, Spain, Denmark and Sweden from handpicked and certified resellers that can offer local support for acquiring, setting up and implementing Varjo’s flagship headset.
The initial reseller network includes: Schenker Technologies (Germany); Immersion (France); SystemActive (UK); Azken Muga (Spain); Nanco and Inet (Sweden); Fortum eSite and Osgenic (Finland); MACE Virtual Labs, Rave Computer and Silverdraft (US); iMotions (US, Germany and Denmark); and ELSA and NGC Corporation (Japan).
Miika Jokinen of Varjo said: “With the support of our local partners, we are committed to providing unmatched expertise and on-the-ground support for our customers who are eager to start utilising VR across different markets.”
Tom Neubert, product manager at Schenker, added: “We are proud to work with Varjo to help enterprises see unmatched value from their state-of-the-art virtual reality device. Already, showcasing the Varjo VR-1 at events has worked like a magnet for us, and we have been able to get lots of new people and clients to come to our booth just to check out Varjo’s device.”
Ross Riley, vendor manager at SystemActive, said: “Being the first reseller to bring human-eye resolution VR to businesses in the UK and Ireland is an exciting opportunity for us, and we are also pleased to provide tailored leasing and bundling opportunities to our customers. Varjo’s support for resellers in product training, marketing and events has been truly valuable.”
