The story

In this role, Moshasha will help shape coverage and provide an expert’s view on one or more areas of immersive technology.

She joins Jan Pflueger on VRWorldTech’s editorial board, which was formed earlier this year to further the platform’s mission to investigate enterprise applications for immersive technology and demonstrate the potential of this new medium to business leaders.

An evangelist in immersive technology, Moshasha spends her time educating the community on applications of virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR).

She is currently director of immersive platforms at Brightline Interactive, an immersive technology company that produces custom interactive technology, to include VR and AR experiences, for brands, agencies and government entities. Sophia is also vice president of the VR/AR Association (VRARA) Washington DC chapter, co-chairs the association’s marketing and defence committees, and co-hosts the association’s podcast, Everything VR & AR.

She is dedicated to promoting the growth of VR and AR technology through hosting events and forums, authoring thought leadership pieces, securing strategic partnerships, and speaking at industry conferences.

Commenting on the year ahead as a member of the VRWorldTech editorial board, Moshasha said: “2020 is the time to show action, use cases and progress in the real-world applications of immersive technology.”

“We are at a place where major investments have been made in creating simulations and experiences for major players in every industry. This is the year that we can finally start showing results and ROI of these existing applications that will significantly move the industry forward.”

VRWorldTech launched its new digital magazine earlier this year and is pressing ahead with further issues in 2020.

The Healthcare Issue of VRWorldTech Magazine will be published on 31 January.
