LifeStyles In 360, a Florida-based developer of VR shopping experiences, is bringing stores to online users with home delivery during the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.
Initially offered in the Orlando area of Florida, where social distancing measures such as a ban of gatherings of 10 or more people in place, as well as advice that anyone aged 65 or older should stay home for the next 14 days, the VR shopping experience service will enable local businesses to connect stores, virtually, to new and existing retail customers.
LifeStyles In 360’s VR shopping experiences, which have previously been developed for Whole Foods Market and The Coca-Cola Orlando Eye, enable online users to ‘go’ to their favourite stores, restaurants or gift shops, and select their items while virtually walking around inside. A virtual personal shopper is also available to assist users with their purchase of items from more than one selected store.
The Florida-based developer has gone one stop further with the proposition and is providing a white-glove home delivery service, which will customise every delivery for each client for a nominal convenience fee.
Delivery drivers are trained and required to adhere to strict social distancing guidelines, wear gloves, masks, and have tested negative for Covid-19.
Lifestyles in 360 plans to hire and train up to 1,000 new employees by the end of 2020 in anticipation of increasing demand for the service.
